A story in the glass
Domaene Gobelsburg Grüner Veltliner Langenlois connects Austria’s signature grape with an important Kamptal town. Behind it stands Schloss Gobelsburg, whose wine heritage grows out of the Cistercian tradition.

In 1171 the monks of Zwettl Abbey received their first vineyards at Heiligenstein and Gaisberg. The abbey acquired Gobelsburg castle much later, in 1740. These dates describe a long relationship with the land, not the launch of the modern Domaene label.
Langenlois lies at the heart of Kamptal. The producer identifies the surrounding hills’ loess as a key element of this Grüner Veltliner. Look for freshness and subtle spice rather than powerful oak: qualities that make it a versatile partner for lighter food.
