A story in the glass
Frizzini is our lightly sparkling Glera wine, served by the glass or carafe. It offers a relaxed beginning to an Italian dinner without the need to order a full bottle.
Read more Close story
Glera is closely associated with north-eastern Italy and is best known as the principal grape of Prosecco. A grape name alone does not establish an appellation, however. We therefore describe Frizzini as Glera Frizzante, without attributing Prosecco DOC status or an unverified estate history to it.
The Italian term frizzante describes gentler effervescence than spumante. Here the appeal lies in lightness, fruit and refreshment at the table. A glass opens the meal, while a carafe is an easy choice to share alongside starters, salad or pizza.
