Kakheti lies in eastern Georgia, with the Alazani and Iori valleys forming its principal growing areas. Local wine culture is strongly connected with indigenous grape varieties. It offers a different background from French Chardonnay or Italian Pinot Grigio, worth exploring on its own terms.
Elibo emphasises approachable fruit and softness. It should not automatically be described as amber wine or as qvevri-fermented: those traditions do not apply to every Georgian label. At Amarone it offers an option for guests who prefer gentle sweetness to a firmly dry finish.
