A story in the glass
Cantina Terlan began in 1893 when 24 South Tyrolean growers joined forces. Their Chardonnay shows how an international grape can develop a distinctive identity at the foot of the Alps.

The founders wanted independence from the large landowners who dominated local agriculture. Terlano was already known for white wine even though reds prevailed across the wider region. Today’s Chardonnay belongs to that longstanding specialism rather than being a casual addition to the range.
The producer describes fermentation in stainless steel and maturation on fine lees. This builds a fuller texture while retaining fresh fruit. The result appeals to those seeking a balance between Alpine freshness and the gentler, creamier side of Chardonnay.
